Today, we’re following Senate Estimates as the NDIA faces questioning over NDIS policy, funding and reforms.
With significant changes impacting participants, families and providers, now more than ever, transparency and accountability matter.
We’ve committed to staying informed, challenging changes that disadvantage vulnerable Australians and ensuring the voices of our regional communities aren’t forgotten.
Can these changes be stopped? Yes, it is possible.
On 17 November 2026, the Australian Senate is expected to vote on whether to stop these changes.
The people behind the funding figures deserve to be heard. That’s why we are hosting a session to assist individuals to send in their individual submissions.

💜 Carers Week 2026 💜
This year’s theme: Making Carers Visible.
A year where a morning tea, a pat on the back and a thumbs up just won’t cut it.
A year where informal supports, exhausted families and carers already stretched beyond their limits have once again been left to cop the consequences.
A year where, under Mark Butler’s leadership, the government’s answer to an increasingly strained NDIS has been to pursue funding cuts and savings from a system that people with disability depend on for their independence, dignity and quality of life.
We cannot keep celebrating carers for one week of the year while ignoring the elephant in the room for the other 51.
Behind every funding decision is a real person.
A family already juggling appointments, employment, financial pressures, sleepless nights and the constant fight to secure the supports their loved ones need.
When formal supports are reduced or become harder to access, the responsibility doesn’t simply disappear. It falls back onto families. Onto parents. Onto partners. Onto siblings. Onto carers who are already giving everything they have.
And somehow, we continue to call this sustainable.
Carers deserve more than recognition. They deserve meaningful support, genuine respite and a system that doesn’t rely on their exhaustion to keep functioning 💜
