Post Office Counter Operator (Part-Time, Potential for More Hours)

Are you looking for a part-time position that offers flexibility and the potential for additional hours? Join our team as a Post Office Counter Operator and be a vital part of our efficient and customer-focused postal services. We are seeking an organized and customer-oriented individual to fill the role, with specific availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Position: Post Office Counter Operator Schedule: Part-time, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (with potential for more hours)

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service at the post office counter, assisting customers with various postal needs such as sending and receiving packages, purchasing stamps, and handling money orders.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to postal regulations.
- Assist customers with completing forms, addressing envelopes, and selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Answer inquiries, and provide general information regarding postal services.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the display of postal products and services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of services.
- Having a car/drivers licence is preferential as you would need to pick up the mail from the depot. (will be reimbursed)

Requirements:
- PR or Australian citizenship as per Aus Post requirements.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, especially in a postal or retail environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and accurately calculate postage fees.
- Familiarity with postal regulations and services is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills for processing transactions and utilizing postal software.
- All training is provided and paid for.
