TONIGHT AT ARCOBAR! Things OF Stone & Wood Duo (Greg Arnold & Mikey Allen)... One of the most "Melbourne" songs of the 1990's was this little gem (Happy Birthday Helen) - which was famously parodied on The Late Show. In 1993, the D-Gen crew dropped "We've Just Run Out of Melbourne Clichés," completely roasting the song’s heavy reliance on local geography. Dressed in matching striped shirts, the cast swapped out the romantic lyrics for a hilarious, rapid-fire laundry list of Victorian landmarks—name-dropping everything from the West Gate Bridge and Flinders Street Station to the No. 96 tram and Sovereign Hill until they literally ran out of things to say. It remains an absolute classic piece of Aussie comedy history, and even frontman Greg Arnold admitted it was the moment he knew the band had truly made it!
