You can write affirmations ’til your hand cramps, but if your psoas is clenched from stress, sitting, or stored trauma, baby might not be able to descend.

This isn’t just a hip flexor 💫 it’s a deep core messenger that feels your fear, locks down when you’re guarded, and literally guides baby into the pelvic inlet. When it’s tight (especially on one side), baby may struggle to engage or rotate into their best position.

✨ A balanced, supple psoas supports:
🔹 Baby’s entry into the pelvic inlet
🔹 Optimal fetal positioning
🔹 Space and mobility in the pelvis
🔹 A calm, receptive nervous system
🔹 Smoother, more intuitive birth progression

We see psoas dysfunction show up in persistent breech, babies who “won’t drop,” asymmetrical labors, and slow progression despite strong contractions.

That’s why we teach the Standing Psoas Release—a simple, powerful movement you can use during pregnancy (or pre-pregnancy!) to bring ease back into the body.

Try it for 30–60 seconds per side and notice:
✔ Back and hip relief
✔ Nervous system softening
✔ Better body awareness and posture
✔ More space for baby to find their path

Birth isn’t about forcing baby down—it’s about making space and feeling safe enough to open. Start with the psoas. 💥

P.S. If you’re a perinatal or birth pro, head to the link in bio to join our free 3-day training, replay available through June 8! It’s packed with tools, insight, and next-level strategies to support birth physiology and body-led care.
