Here’s a little look at KANTAN just before the guests arrived last night. We hosted a private event to celebrate a milestone achievement.

The restaurant was divided into two areas. One had cocktail tables, where guests could mingle and have a bite and a drink before moving on to the dining area to have their fill of the buffet spread.

It was such a lovely night ❤️

We’re closed tonight, Saturday 22 August, for a private event. Our client is celebrating a very special milestone, and we can’t wait to help them celebrate properly!

Regular service is back next week. See you then!

A little heads up, guys! We’ll be closed this Friday, 14 August, as the team will be catering a wedding. We’re so excited to be part of the couple’s special day!

Kantan has been featured in Good Food’s guide to laksa in Melbourne — and our plant-based curry laksa was named their pick for vegan laksa.

Honestly? This one feels pretty special.
I developed this recipe during lockdown, for the Fitzroy community — many months of tinkering with veg stock, spice blends and chasing that perfect bowl. To see it recognised by Good Food now? Pretty chuffed! 🩷
