Hi, my name is Vicki..... I love all types of quilting, sewing, embroidery and making dolls! I am not a business, I sell the things I make to raise money to help fund my charity sewing. Once a year I hold a ‘charity stall’ at the TLC Fair’s Fair Community Market with money on the day goes to The Hope Project. I also make reusable sanitary kits which are sent over to ladies living in remote refugee
Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying the nice sunny days.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have been away recovering from another surgery on my spine. I had the surgery on Tuesday and while I have been recovering things are doing well.
I do have some jobs waiting for me to do when I have recovered and some others that might have been delayed because of the pain and other symptoms I have had. If you are concerned in the least about timelines coming up to Christmas please send me a message. This will allow me to make sure I have not forgotten your job.
Thank you everyone who has checked on me and your job, I really appreciate it. ❤️

This is my why.
This is the reason I make dolls and do embroidery jobs.
This is why make reusable sanitary kits.
This is why I have my market stall and donate the sales to Sharing Hope.
Every doll, every soft toy, every embroidery job and every sewing job I do helps me fund my Annual Market Stall.
This is my why.

Thursday was a big day for Olivia and her Sausage Man calendar fundraiser.
Olivia was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for her Sausage Man Calendar fundraiser.
Olivia’s support team also received a Certificate of Appreciation for their support as without their support we would not have been able to do this fundraiser.
A huge thank you to Grace, Kara, Chloe, Tara, Ines and Andrew.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet on here but life has been a bit crazy with a fracture in my shoulder added to the mix.
Over the weekend I was able to pack 17 bags of reusable sanitary kits for women and young girls living on the Thai Burma border in displaced Karen communities and refugee camps.
As I’m limited in what I can sew at the moment I was excited to be able to make up the kits using leftover ‘ingredients’ from last year.
These bags are being taken over by Caitlin from Sharing Hope. Caitlin who is traveling with a group of teachers, has made room for the bags in her suitcase.
Did you know that the Myanmar Military Junta have banned all period products, particularly sanitary pads as they say that the pads are being used to treat wounded resistance fighters.
The actions of the military junta have made sanitary products scarce and too expensive for many women and girls to afford.
Every bag that is delivered to Karen ladies and girls living in on the Thai Burma border can change their life. It means that they can still attend school, they can work and they don’t have to hide away from their communities.
In the next couple of months I will be starting to get kits made up ready for Sharing Hope’s next trip.
Save the date!

I am so proud of this girl!
Olivia has walked the streets handing out leaflets, approached shopkeepers to put her leaflets in their shop windows, approached strangers to share her fundraiser and sold people her calendars and mugs. She has sat out in the cold and rain at our pop up stall. Along the way she never lost sight of why she was raising money.
