Library Visit – Book Week 📚

As part of our Book Week celebrations, our three-year-old children enjoyed a special visit to our local library. The children had the opportunity to explore the library, browse through a variety of wonderful books and choose a book they would love to bring back to the centre for everyone to enjoy.

The children were excited to make their own choices and share their favourite stories with their friends and educators. They also experienced the borrowing process, learning how books can be borrowed and returned to the library.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their love of books and reading while connecting with an important resource within our local community. 📖✨

Today, the children enjoyed exploring their favourite stories, listening to engaging books and using their imaginations as they travelled into wonderful story worlds. 📖🧸

Through shared reading, the children developed their language and communication skills, listening skills, imagination and love for learning.

🌿☕ A Little Adventure for Our Babies! ☕🌿

Our little explorers headed out for a lovely adventurous walk to our local café! 🥰👣

The babies had such a wonderful time enjoying the fresh air, taking in their surroundings and, of course, finishing off their special outing with some delicious babycinos! ☕🤍

It was such a beautiful opportunity to explore our local community, build confidence and create some very special memories together. 💕✨

We absolutely loved watching their little faces light up with excitement! 🥰

Community Garden Adventure 🌱🐔

Our three-year-old children enjoyed another wonderful visit to our local community garden! 🌿

Over the past few weeks, the children have been collecting leftover food scraps from our centre to donate to the chickens who live at the community garden. 🐔❤️ The children were so excited to deliver the scraps and help care for the chickens.

During our visit, the children also helped water the plants and explored the worm farm, observing how food scraps can be reused and transformed into something that helps our garden grow. 🌱🪱

This experience provided the children with opportunities to develop their understanding of sustainability, caring for living things and contributing to our local community. What a beautiful way to learn, connect and care for our environment! 💚

The Kinder children were excited to welcome Healthy Harold for a fun and interactive incursion. The children explored the importance of making healthy food choices, protecting themselves from the sun, keeping their bodies active, and staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water. They were highly engaged throughout the session, eagerly participating and sharing their ideas with Harold.

Back in the room, we extended the learning by reflecting on what we had discovered together. The children confidently discussed the healthy foods they know and why looking after our bodies is so important, demonstrating their growing understanding of healthy lifestyle choices.

A Special Community Adventure! 💛

Our little babies enjoyed a beautiful morning stroll to our local café, Goodwill, where they experienced something very exciting—their very first babychinos! 🥛✨

As we walked through our community, the children took in the sights and sounds around them, building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. At the café, they loved sitting together, exploring a new environment, and proudly sipping their delicious babychinos with the biggest smiles.

These simple outings provide meaningful opportunities for children to develop social skills, strengthen community connections, and create joyful memories with their peers and educators.

🍕💗 Early Learning Matters Week – Building Community Connections 💗🍕

Our Pink Room children enjoyed a wonderful community excursion today as part of Early Learning Matters Week. We visited Little Lebanon, where the children shared a delicious pizza lunch while experiencing the warmth of a local community business.

These outings provide meaningful opportunities for children to develop a sense of belonging, strengthen community connections, and build confidence as they explore the world around them. Through real-life experiences like this, children learn about their local community, practise social skills, and create lasting memories with their peers.
