Last day in Paris. A quick stopover in Ho Chi Minh before home

PARIS

Yesterday we spent the morning in Maussane,great coffee and cake, the afternoon was spent at the magnificent Chateau d’ Estoublon. Today we went to a local market followed by lunch in St Remy Our last day in Provence, catching a train to Paris in the morning.

What can I say, the beautiful town of Uzes. Wandering the streets was a pleasure and a little retail therapy was good too 😊

A wander around our beautiful village of St Remy and a visit to the Vincent Van Gogh monastery and asylum, where he stayed for some time.

We have now moved to St Remy, it is incredibly hot here if you can’t tell from the photos, 38 degrees. Went to a brocante market in Eygalieres this morning, a drive through the mountains then back to St Remy for lunch.

Over the last few days we have been to Venasque, Pernes les Fontaines,Gordes and my favourite Menerbes. Beautiful views, shops and good food 😋, walking in the heat 38 degree but enjoying every moment.

Drove to Vaison-la-Romaine today,lots of steep windy roads but well worth it. We had lunch and then walked up to the medieval village, what a view. Absolutely exhausted, baguette and cheese tonight.

We have moved on from St Paul de Vence to Ilsle sur la sorgue an amazing market town. Lois and I have met up with my dear friend Anne and her gorgeous daughter, so much fun to be had. After wandering the market and antique shops in 38 degree heat, we had dinner by the river and listened to live music.

We started the day at the Valbonne market ( lots of treasures ). We finished the day with our last drink in our beautiful village of Saint Paul de Vence. Moving onto Provence tomorrow
