Having fun with Book Week activities! Our Year 1/2 students explored shortlisted book ‘Frogs Are Our Friends’! This vibrant, rhyming picture book introduced our readers to the daily habits & ecosystem roles of garden frogs. What a great start to Book Week! 📖✨

Our Year 3/4 students recently took their classroom learning out into the field at Melbourne Zoo! 🔎🐒Through an interactive Zoos Victoria
workshop, students applied their knowledge from this term’s Inquiry unit, ‘Living Organisms’. They did a fantastic job diving deep into animal life cycles and mapping out how energy flows through different food chains and webs. It was awesome seeing our students connecting their learning to the real world! 🌱

National Science Week in STEM! 🔭
Our students have been busy getting hands-on with science through exciting investigations, experiments and plenty of discovery!
🌧️ Prep explored different materials to find out which would make the best waterproof raincoat.
🌎 Year 1/2 investigated Earth and our place in the Solar System.
🧪 Year 3/4 got messy exploring the unusual properties of oobleck.
🧂 Year 5/6 investigated whether salt can be recovered after dissolving in water.
From predicting and experimenting to observing and discovering, there’s been lots of scientific thinking happening in STEM! 🌟

This week our school took part in the Bullying No Way: National Week of Action. Students participated in activities that explored what it means to be a good friend, how to respond when someone is being treated unfairly & the important role we all play in creating a safe and welcoming school community.
We’re proud to join Australia’s bullying prevention initiative to create positive interactions within our community, where everyone belongs, diversity is celebrated & connections are formed to help prevent bullying 💜
