Clifton Hill Dojo is Aikido Victoria’s principal training venue.
As Australia's longest running Aikido club with many of Australia's most experienced teachers, we officially represents the World Aikido Headquarters (Hombu), based in Japan. With Australia’s greatest range of experienced teachers, one class each day is taught by a 5th, 6th, or 7th dan Instructors, each with 30-47 years of experience. ADULT CLASS TIMES

This weekend the Saturday morning crew bid farewell to Ahmet before he ventures back home👋👋 Ahmet has been training regularly at Clifton Hill Dojo since February this year, while on sabbatical from Türkiye as a political scientist with a Melbourne based University 🏫
We wish him and his wife a safe trip home, and hope he takes with him the satisfaction of knowing the joy he’s brought to our training with his energy and commitment—not only to the Saturday crew, but to the many other classes he’s regularly attended 🙌 Cya soon Ahmet 👋🫶
Ever wondered why aikidoka take the time to carefully fold their hakama after training? It’s more than tradition 🥋 Taking a quiet moment to care for our uniform encourages mindfulness, respect, patience, and attention to detail 🙌 In Aikido, training doesn’t end with the last technique—it extends to how we treat our equipment, our dojo, and each other 〰️ It’s also a chance to slow down, fold alongside our friends, chat about the class, and decompress together before parting ways 💘 That’s part of our practice too 🥋✨

AKA 60th Anniversary at Olympic Park Netball Central The 60th Anniversary celebrations will culminate in a major international event in Sydney 10–12 July 2026, headlined by Waka Sensei Mitsuteru Ueshiba, Dojo Cho of Aikido World Headquarters. This event will be a unifying gathering of all Aikido organisations in Australia affiliated with Aikikai Hombu Japan, showcasing the strength and unity of our extended community.
