LTU Cinema Club

Hey everyone,

On behalf of the Cinema Club Executive, I am sad to announce that the club is officially in Sunset.

Due to the lack of people in Executive roles and the difficulties we have faced in recruiting and training new people, in addition to how expensive the club is to run, it has become too difficult to maintain a regular events schedule.

We are looking into alternative options for running smaller low-cost events long term if anyone steps forward to become an Executive. For now, we simply do not have the people and time to run events, much less continue at prior capacity.

Things would likely look more similar to Book Club or the fortnightly/weekly chat catchups that other clubs host. Training materials on running that style of event would be available.

If anyone steps forward, I will be happy to provide all the handover and training materials that currently exist. (I personally would love to be treasurer, but I definitely don't have capacity to be President of two clubs this year)

We’ll be hosting our AGM at 6pm for anyone interested in getting involved with the club! After which we’ll celebrate our new team with a showing of Pride and Prejudice (2005 version - it’s 20th Anniversary!) 👫🏻
