New project underway, converting this roof space, full of air conditioning ducts, electrical wiring and years of dust and grime into a loft studio. Photos showing where it started and drawings of where it’s heading! With doing a fabulous job!

Keeping with my tradition of having a Christmas tree made from random stuff, this year I created my ‘tree’ from green paint chips. For some reason, I have lots of green ones, even though very few of my clients ask for green 🤷‍♀️ Happy Christmas everyone!

Heartbroken about the result of the referendum tonight. To those who voted no because they didn’t think the Voice would change anything, what are you going to do now to make a difference? If you are genuine about wanting change to occur, here are just a few charities to consider:

New digs! My office has moved; it’s still above my favourite place just in a new location at 9 Tate Street, Albion. My signage is still to come, but it’s easy to find with the big Gym Cartel sign. If you are in the area, drop in to say hi. There are lots of great coffee shops and breweries in the area for a catch up.

Something a bit different to the previous cards. These are based on 2 favourite quotes by famous architects. I’m in the ‘less is more’ camp, but Christmas time often seems more about the second one. I’d be interested to know which way people lean.

First 2 of some hand drawn Christmas cards. Linocut print inspired, using black pen and colouring pencils. Bit slow off the mark, but may get a couple more done before Christmas….

I haven’t specified engineered stone for a while now, but it’s good to be reminded why, and to put pressure on the government to ban it. So incredibly heartbreaking for those suffering from silicosis, knowing there is no cure.
There are so many alternatives to this product, so if you are doing a new kitchen, check out what else is available!

It occurred to me not long ago that I have been in practice as Robyn Booth Architect for 25 years. Some days that seems like a really long time, other days, that time has gone in a flash………………I still love doing hand sketches, so here are a few from projects I’ve been working on over the last year.
