Wearable Arts
On Monday the 19th of October, our school held our third Step Up Salisbury – Wearable Arts competition.
Our fellow students showcased their creativity beautifully in these designs. The Wearable Arts competition had two categories which were: An element of nature, or Trash to Treasure.
All entrants showcased a different and unique design. The five students that modelled & designed this year were:
* Isla - co-designed and supported by Amelia & Ariella.
* Parker,
* Evlalia - wearing a design by Rachel,
* Georgina, and
* Maddi.
The winner was Rachel, whose costume was a dress made almost entirely of natural materials such as flowers and leaves, modelled by Evlalia.
Overall, everyone did such a wonderful job.

Our Preppies had a wonderful time on their Excursion to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
Prep H got to learn all about the animals and they were very lucky to feed the kangaroos and spy some joeys. They even got to pat the koala! What a privilege. The emu gave some of them a bit of a scare 🫣
Prep Y loved having owls fly just over their heads at the Free Flight Raptor Show, crawling through a tunnel to get very close to a crocodile (through a glass viewing panel) and feeding kangaroos. The children were very excited to meet the animals from Wombat Stew. We were even able to pat the koala, lizard and a (very clever) dingo.
Prep M were excited to see the koalas leaping between the trees (just like Koala Lou), saw a very active echidna, got up close to an emu and even got a sneak peek into seeing the dingos get their teeth brushed.
Thank you to all the helpers that came to support this wonderful excursion. We appreciate you.

As part of our Reward Day, 1A took on 1S for the Salisbury Grade 1 Netball Title! After a great game full of teamwork and effort, the final score was a 1-1 draw.
It was awesome to see so many students get involved, and we can't wait to see some of these future stars at Netball Club in the years to come!
Well done, 1A and 1S!

We wish all our Salisbury Serpents and families a happy holiday break. Enjoy a well earned rest and come back refreshed and ready for a fantastic Term 4!
