Watching our Senior Women run out for their first ever Premier Division Grand Final was a pretty special moment.
I’ve been lucky enough to spend some of the year behind the camera, watching their pre season and some games during the year, capturing plenty of funny moments with this amazing group of girls — and what has stood out most is what a genuinely great bunch of people they are.
To see their hard work, commitment, belief and friendship come together on the biggest stage was terrific.
So incredibly proud of every one of you. You’ve done yourselves, your teammates and the Boronia Hawks proud.

MASON STORR | SIGNED FOR 2027

Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club Is delighted to announce to all players, sponsors and supporters that MASON STORR has recommitted to Boronia for 2027. A star junior for Boronia, Mayo won four junior B&F’s, culminating in the Under 17’s B&F in 2018 when he also played in the Under 19’s premiership. Recruited back to the club last season as a strong forward, but hampered by injuries, he will be a big plus for the Hawks next season.

KIERAN EDWARDS | SIGNED FOR 2027

Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club is delighted to announce to all players, sponsors and supporters that KIERAN EDWARDS has recommitted to Boronia for 2027. Kiza joined the Hawka in 2023 and was a strong contributor to our back-to back flags and elevation to Division 1. Very handy on a forward flank or wing, Kieran has now played 70 games and kicked 67 goals for Boronia and can be relied upon for many more.

MATT BARKAS | SIGNED FOR 2027

Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club Is delighted to announce to all players, sponsors and supporters that MATT BARKAS has recommitted to Boronia for 2027. Matt rejoined the Hawks in 2026 having last played in brown and gold back in 2017 in Under 15’s. That was too long to be away and we are delighted to have Matt playing great footy with us again next season.

Janine Rule is the Managing Director of Stockdale & Leggo Ferntree Gully. Janine is well known around the club through her strong family and friendship links. Having been a part of the property industry for over 30 years, Janine has the expertise, experience and versatility to sell established properties, new land developments and house and land packages.

Was great to catch up with Sammy, a dedicated volunteer, at the senior women’s grand final between the Boronia Hawks and Park Orchards on Saturday.

While it wasn’t meant to be for the Boronia Hawks, they have had an amazing season and a big congrats to the team and all the vols and families that supported them to get to the grand final.

Well done Park Orchards on the win.
