East Bentleigh Health Group (Chiropractor)
We are a family oriented practice and offer both relief and wellness care. The brain, spinal cord and nerves control how the body functions.
Many patients begin care in our office with a specific health concern and then realise that chiropractic care is about optimal health. Chiropractic in 100 Words:
Aches and pains are signs that the body is not working right. Physical, chemical or emotional stresses produce defensive postures. Muscles contract, lock or shift spinal joints that then pinch or irritate nearby nerves. Lack of nervous s

Balance is not something most people think about until they lose it. The joints in your spine and hips send a steady stream of information to your brain about where your body is in space, and when those joints move well, that sense of balance tends to sharpen along with it. Keeping your spine moving well supports more than comfort, it supports stability too.

Jaw pain does not always start in the jaw. The muscles and joints in the upper neck sit close enough to the jaw that tension in one area often pulls on the other, which is why some patients notice jaw tightness easing after neck work rather than dental treatment. If you have been dealing with jaw discomfort that has not fully resolved elsewhere, it might be worth having your neck checked too.

Someone dealing with pain for the first time often reads through several reviews before ever picking up the phone. What tends to stand out is not the star rating but a specific detail, like being able to sleep through the night again or finally bending down without wincing. If chiropractic care has changed something specific for you, naming that detail in a review is what helps someone else decide to come in.

A common assumption is that chiropractic care is only for back and neck pain, when in practice many patients come in for headaches, sleep issues, or a general sense of feeling stiff and off. The first visit is where we sort out what is actually going on before anything else happens. If something has been nagging at you that does not fit neatly into "back pain," it is still worth bringing in.

Chiropractic care works in layers. The first visits are often about calming things down and creating room for change, and the visits after that are what actually retrain the pattern so it holds. Stopping right after the pain eases usually means missing that second layer entirely. Staying with the plan a little longer is often what makes the difference last.

If it has been a while since your last full assessment, a lot can change quietly over six months. A re-examination compares your movement, alignment, and symptoms against where you started, which often reveals progress people had not noticed on their own. Reach out and we can get one booked.

A large share of the information your brain uses to know where your body is in space comes from tiny sensors inside your spinal joints. When those joints move well, that feedback is clear, which is part of why balance and coordination can improve alongside pain. Movement is not only physical, it is information.

The people who hesitate most about chiropractic care are usually the ones who have never had it explained by someone they trust. A short, honest description from a friend does more to settle nerves than any website can. If someone you know has been putting up with a stiff neck or a sore back, we would be glad to look after them.

You do not have to walk in already knowing what is wrong to start chiropractic care. A first visit is built around assessment, not assumption, so we can find out together what your body is dealing with. If something has been bothering you but you cannot quite explain it, that is exactly the kind of thing worth bringing in.

The Shoulder Shrug You Didn't Know You Were Doing You are sitting in traffic, running late for something, and without even noticing it your shoulders have inched up toward your ears. Your jaw is tight. Your hands are gripping the wheel a little harder than they need to. A few minutes later you catch yourself and consciously lower your shoulders, on...
