Just an FYI, 🐍 sightings reported over the past couple of days with the ☀️.

Eastern browns have been known to frequent the oasis so best to keep the K9’s leashed.

Belated thanks to Yarra Ranges Council for repairing the hydration station💧 😃 🤝

I’m humbled at the extent of foot traffic of late 😊. A huge thanks to the council’s 7r4de L1f3 team for extending the footpath all the way down McNicol Rd to the entry 🥰.

Really disappointed that we have to mention this, exercising at Birdsland is not a group catch-up activity!

The gates are open to allow a quick jaunt around the lakes (ideally a sub 10 minute lap). Once you’re done, get back in your car and head home.

or Birdsland will quickly become Offlimitstoeveryoneland!

If we continue to receive reports of patrons ignoring the states and federal government’s guidelines, we will be forced to lock the gates.

Do the right thing, don’t be a dick.

There has been a few dog attacks of late. Please enjoy the area and look after each other. 🐶

Birdsland Panther!

We have heard the rumour for many years and had always considered it an unsolicited rumour.

Last night a reputable source claims to have seen a large feline, significantly larger than any domestic cat.

This is as yet unconfirmed, anyone that has noticed any large felines in the area and has photographic evidence please let the admin know.

Help earthling Kate out, has anyone found her lost Thermos?

Anyone keen for a cheeky Mountain Bike ride tomorrow morning? We have a group of avid (but very friendly) riders heading off from the front car park at 8.

If you're heading down for a swim or some other water activity today, please remember there is blue/green algae in the lakes.
