in 1977 after working as quality control manager for one of the worlds largest producer of watches and has carried the tradition of quality workmanship ever since. dennis first trained as a watchmaker along side his father harry coleman, (still the finest watchmaker i know) before furthering his horological expertise along side frank sanders at majestic jewellers in moonee ponds, completing a five year apprenticeship, then moving overseas to further his education in all things horological,
returning to australia , in the early 70,s dennis opened his first retail store in the heart of melbourne before working in the watch manufacturing business, after two years the retail bug hit again and dennis came to balwyn and took over balwyn jewellers , during this time dennis trained as a manufacturing jeweller and valuer enabling him to carry out every sort of repair to either watches or jewellery, today balwyn jewellers is known far and wide for exceptionally high quality repairs,
