🌊 Offshore wind meets rugged lighting: Glamox has won the contract for marine lighting on Formosa 4, one of Taiwan’s largest offshore wind farms.

Over 900 specialised marine lights will cover the transition pieces of 35 wind turbines — boat landing areas, guardrails, ladders, and access doors. Built to withstand temperatures above 45°C, humidity, and seawater corrosion.

Once complete, the wind farm is expected to generate around 495 MW of green electricity — enough to power roughly 500,000 households.

Another milestone for Taiwan’s offshore wind industry, following Formosa 1 and 2. 💡

Public health experts propose a 24-hour light–dark pattern for circadian health: brighter light in the morning/daytime, lower light in the evening, and darkness or near-darkness during sleep.

🔔 Why it matters
• Aligns lighting with circadian timing, sleep, alertness, mood, and cognition
• Moves beyond hazard-only framing to daily light patterns
• Provides adaptable guidance for diverse populations and settings
• Encourages environments and labels that reflect melanopic effects

How could your organization operationalize evening light reduction and sleep darkness in real-world spaces?

Synapse Wireless launched the SNV-CS-10 Combo Sensor Controller, an all-in-one, contractor-ready lighting control device with up to 1,000-foot wireless range on the SimplySnap SNAP mesh network.

Why it matters
• 1,000-foot node-to-node wireless coverage
• Integrated sensing and controls in one unit
• IP65 design for indoor/outdoor deployment
• Standards support: ASHRAE, Title 24, DLC
• Web and cloud management options
