I saw a picture of Jordyn Woods in her wedding dress, with Kylie Jenner looking on, and it stayed with me.
There’s so much history in one photograph. Two women who were once inseparable, a friendship that fell apart in front of the entire world, years passing, lives changing, and somehow finding their way back into each other’s lives again.
And now Jordyn is married.
It made me think about how life works. Because celebrity doesn’t protect you from any of it. Money doesn’t. Beauty doesn’t. Access doesn’t. At the end of the day, relationships are still relationships. Friendships break. People fall in love. People fall out of love. Lives separate. People come back. Someone reaches one part of life while someone else is somewhere completely different.
It’s the same human s**t, just with better lighting.
And something about that picture made me think about love and my own life.
I’m nearly 39. I’ve lived a lot of life. I’ve had relationships. I’ve loved people. I’ve walked away. I’ve stayed when maybe I shouldn’t have. I’ve made good decisions and terrible ones. And there are still things I simply don’t know how to do.
Love is one of them.
The thing I’m talking about isn’t some extraordinary fantasy. It’s actually incredibly ordinary: finding one person you love, who loves you, and building something stable together.
But how do you actually get there?
I genuinely don’t know.
And I started thinking about how many women probably don’t know. We talk endlessly about relationships once we’re in them, and endlessly about getting over them when they end, but there’s this whole bit in the middle where you’re supposed to somehow know how to find something healthy and lasting in the first place.
I can’t control when another person comes into my life. I can’t manufacture love. I can’t force something to become what I want it to be.
But I can do something.
I can put myself in its path.
And if something real does come along, I can choose it too.
That’s where I am with it.
I CAN’T MAKE LOVE ARRIVE.
BUT I CAN PUT MYSELF IN ITS PATH.
AND WHEN IT COMES, I CAN CHOOSE IT BACK.
That, I can live by.

THE CONDITIONS SURROUNDING THE WORK ARE PART OF THE WORK.
Creating does not happen in a vacuum. It happens alongside bureaucracy, instability, financial pressure, recovery, administration, survival and the constant work of protecting enough energy to keep making anything at all.
This series is about that reality — and about refusing to let those conditions become the whole story.
I am still here. I am still creating. I am still building better conditions through the work itself.
If you would like to support the work directly, my GoFundMe is still active. The link is in my bio.

I have said what is true.
I have protected myself.
I am allowed to stop.
Defending your dignity does not mean remaining in the argument forever. Correct what could harm you. Put the facts on record. Then let your nervous system understand that the protective work is complete.
Stopping is not surrender. Sometimes, it is the final boundary.

Women’s pain has been watched, mocked and turned into entertainment for centuries. The livestream is simply the newest stage.
When a woman finally breaks down, her reaction becomes the spectacle while everything that provoked it disappears from the record. Understanding that sequence does not excuse violence—but accountability must include the entire pattern, not only its most dramatic moment.
Women do not defeat this by destroying each other. Protect your mind, your freedom and your future. Do not let somebody else’s chaos become your case.

Some men do not simply have “complicated relationships.” They manufacture competition.
They give one woman security, reactivate another, show each just enough to provoke a reaction—and then sit at the centre, using everybody’s distress as proof of their importance.
This game is not new. For generations, women’s pain has been called jealousy, insecurity or madness, while the person deliberately creating the instability escapes examination.
What was once hidden behind closed doors is now being broadcast in real time. The women’s reactions become entertainment while the machinery remains unnamed.
You do not win by becoming the woman he chooses. You win by refusing the triangle.
Leave the competition. Close the access. Reclaim your attention.

Some men don’t return because they love you. They return to see whether they can still reach you.
They offer intensity, withdraw it, then come back with just enough attention to restart the cycle. That confusion isn’t chemistry, and interruption isn’t intimacy.
Being chosen over another woman isn’t winning when the prize is still mistreatment.
Watch the pattern. Close the access. Reclaim your attention.
Emotional sovereignty means refusing to compete for a position inside somebody else’s program.

EMOTIONAL SOVEREIGNTY.
Some people will have you believing that their attention determines your value. That their silence means you’ve been discarded. That you need their answers, their permission or their agreement before you can move forward.
You don’t.
You can miss someone and still not go back. You can feel the emotion without obeying it. You can set a boundary without explaining it twenty times to someone who already understands—they just don’t like it.
Stop exhausting yourself trying to secure your place in somebody else’s life.
Ask whether they even deserve a place in yours.
That is emotional sovereignty.
Your heart has returned to its rightful owner.
This series began with my own original handmade collage. I developed it using digital and AI-assisted tools to transform the materials, create the mother-of-pearl lettering and build the finished visual world.
The concept, writing, original artwork, creative direction and final decisions are mine. AI was one of the tools I used. It did not come up with the idea, make the original collage or write the words.
Swipe through. Save what speaks to you. Share it with somebody who might need it.
