Did you know cats can do more than just smell a scent? 🐱👃
Cats have a special sensory structure called the Jacobson’s organ (vomeronasal organ). It helps them detect and analyze chemical signals, particularly pheromones. This is why you may sometimes notice your cat pause with its mouth slightly open after encountering an interesting scent — a behavior known as the Flehmen response.
It’s almost like getting an extra layer of information from a smell! 🐾✨

Did you know how do cats sweat?
Cats have sweat glands in their skin, but they do not produce sweat like humans do.
They produce olfactory signals (i.e., pheromones). The cat’s feet are the only body site where they sweat.
You may be able to notice it when you go to the vet and your cat is rather stressed,
in which case they will leave sweaty footprints on the table. Cats don’t sweat when they are too hot;
they have other effective ways to thermoregulate.
For thousands of stray cats and dogs, a meal can mean more than nutrition. It can mean hope. 🐾❤️
