THE PRINCIPLES | IDENTITY DESIGN AWARDS 2026

We are proud to announce that The Principles, a monumental sculptural installation by Mustafa Khamash, has been shortlisted for the identity Design Awards 2026.

Inspired by the Eight Principles of Dubai, the installation translates the values shaping the Emirate’s vision into an architectural expression of unity, ambition, and progress.

Through the interplay of light, structure, and perspective, the sculpture reveals a portrait that embodies Dubai’s identity and its vision for the future.

A recognition of art that carries meaning beyond form.

CREATORS HQ | ABU DHABI
Beyond the conventional workplace.

Designed by Kart Group, Creators HQ at Al Qana, Abu Dhabi, reimagines the modern workplace as a dynamic destination where creativity, collaboration, and human connection come together.

Moving beyond traditional office planning, the project integrates flexible workspaces, collaborative lounges, private meeting areas, and purpose-built content creation facilities, creating an environment that supports both individual focus and the exchange of ideas.

A refined palette of natural wood, soft textures, and subtle green accents, complemented by sculptural lighting and curved architectural elements, brings warmth and a hospitality-inspired character to the space.

Rooted in human-centered design, Creators HQ balances productivity, social interaction, and creative expression, fostering meaningful connections and supporting Abu Dhabi’s growing creative community.

Al Maktoum Archives - Preserving the Foundation of Dubai

Commissioned to reconcile monumental historical stewardship with high-stakes contemporary operations. The facility anchors the lineage that traced its earliest origins along the shores of Al Shindagha and propelled the emirate into the modern global landscape.

This design narrative is most poetically expressed through the traditional Al Khoos palm-frond weaving motif, which moves seamlessly through fiber, metal, and stone. The pattern manifests across three distinct registers: as an authentic woven palm-frond feature wall positioned behind the library bookcase, scaled down into jewel-like metal inlay inserts on custom furniture, and scaled up into a grand, CNC-cut engraved marble principal feature wall.

The resulting atmosphere translates the intimacy and cultural warmth of a traditional Majlis into a highly sophisticated administrative setting.

The Al Maktoum Archives are a timeless monument to Dubai’s enduring identity, proving that the strength of the future remains deeply rooted in the absolute preservation of the past.

Dar Rawda Villa — The Philosophy of Breath

Conceived as a continuous dialogue between architecture, landscape and cultural memory.

Open thresholds, filtered light and generous volumes form the architectural framework, while crafted details, tactile materials and traditional references bring warmth and identity to the home.

A residence shaped not only to be seen, but to be lived.
